Kate plus 8 minus Jon

It’s all over the news. Some are attracted to it so as they don’t miss a beat. Then others can’t stand seeing it anymore. It’s big, it’s TV, its drama, and it’s Jon and Kate plus 8. Or, as some perceive it now, Kate plus 8, minus Jon. Or even Kate plus 8, minus Jon, minus $230,000! Either way, it’s a sad state of affairs for the Gosselin family. Having recently gone through a divorce between my parents, I can only relate to the 8 helpless children. I can even relate to the very young children as I have also been through another divorce with my parents when I was only 4. It’s not fun for anyone. I can only imagine how humiliating it has become for the entire family.

Now, try to understand where I am coming from here. I feel the show should still continue as Kate plus 8. Jon should be out of the picture altogether. He has disbanded the show, made a mockery of his wife and kids, and has let temptation get the better of him. I’m sure it’s hard living with 8 kids and all the publicity that goes with it, but he isn’t exactly struggling to pay the bills, and his wife is surely attractive, especially considering the circumstances. Anyways, I feel the show must go on. Not only for TLC’s ratings sake, but for Kate’s sake as well. She clearly needs the money now more than ever, she has seemed to enjoy the show, and the kids don’t seem to mind much either. Let them get their lives back on track, and let America enjoy watching this family grow up.

Jon claims its bad for the kids. Sure he does. Now that he is divorcing Kate. Makes sense that he would feel that way. But he didn’t mind it when he was on the show, so clearly now that he isn’t making the big paycheck anymore, he doesn’t want ex-wife Kate to enjoy life either. Jon is just riding the band wagon here. He is very jealous of Kate’s fame at this point.

I say let the film role on. If Jon doesn’t want to be on it then so be it. But, if Kate wins custody, and she will, then let the show go on. As for Jon, he needs to go cry in the corner and think about what he did to one of the best family’s anyone could ask for.

  1. First of all I think that Kate and her husband made all these kids for the money and the TV show. I also believe the same for all those women who are out there making babies just for a show and money. That is not the real reason why people should have kids and I think we all know that. I know that I would not keep having kids for a show and money because I like my privacy and I wouldn’t want my family all over TV. Also every show get blown out of proportion and made into something bigger then it is. I too have also been through family divorce and I know that it’s very confusing when you’re younger and putting it all over TV can't be good for the kids or be helping them at all. Also Of it don’t surprise me that the children wouldn’t mind being on the show because that is all the kids know and they think that life is to be that way, what a shame.

  2. First of all I have to disagree with Rebecca’s comment about the fact that they made all those babies just to have their own tv show. Jon and Kate were the original family reality show with multiples or sextuplets, or octoplites, everyone else is just following for example the octomom ( Nadya Suleman ) she had her kids for the fame, she had no money no baby daddy and no house and now all of a sudden she has all of those things. Anyways I agree Kate should do the show if she wants to do the show, she always says she needs to continue to do the show because that is her income and that is how she provides for her big family. I would watch the show with just Kate and the kids, I am so disgusted with Jon that I would be happy if you was kicked off and never say him on the show again, but is that whats good for the children? The children never seemed to be affected by the cameras, and never threw fits with the camera in their face and never tried to run or push the camera out of their face, so I don’t see why Jon would be say it is bad for the children.
