U.S. Stands Alone

The war in Afghanistan at late, seems to lack much support from almost anyone. In itself, it almost seems like a doomsday plague. Now known as the war that wont end, is growing ever infamous for being a waste of money, resources, and lives. However, it does not take much thought for someone to bash all the hard work that has gone into this war. The billions of dollars are being spent every day not to just let soldiers sit over there in their guard posts, but to better the lives of millions. I feel that American soldiers do need to be over in Iraq and Afghanistan. I feel, as the biggest and most powerful world power, we need to help those in need all over the world. By straightening out the middle east, there will finally be hope for the whole eastern hemisphere.

It’s nice to think about, but I must say that this is not just America’s war. America was attacked as we all know. But, we also know that America is a major partner in the ever famous N.A.T.O. N.A.T.O. is a sort of pact made up of almost 30 countries. This organization was formed to protect all the members of this organization. These nations vowed to stand together with each other In case of attack. Well, I can’t say it’s working out too well. The war seems to be mostly fought by the U.S. I feel other countries need to join in and together we can get this war over with. It is time to stay the course, and let others pitch in. That was the idea behind N.A.T.O., and many seem to be in the dark.
