Yankees win it... again
Well we have all heard it... The Yankees won the World Series for the 26th time. Oh I'm sorry the 27th time, but who's counting anymore. The fact is that the Yankees are world famous for having money and good players. If a team can win the world series 27 times which is like 3 times more than any other team, what is the point of even having a world series. 9 times out of 10 the Yankees will be in it anyways. My point here is that the Yankees having undeservingly won beyond their means. Baseball needs a cap. All major league sports, with the exception of baseball have salary caps, and it works for them. Keeps teams balanced for the most part, doesn't allow all the big names on one time, like for instance, the Yankees. If baseball had a salary cap, the Yankees probably couldn't even have a team. I use to like the Yanks, but grew tired of every big name player eventually earning a spot on that team. The idea of having won the biggest game of the year 27 times seems to be unfair. Why can't the Blue Jay's or Astro's win for once. I was rather upset to watch last nights game, as it seemed to be almost one sided half way through to the end. Anyways, baseball needs a salary cap, and the Yankees need to be broken up and spread throughout to help the poorer teams, the teams that don't make it past the regular season. Down with the Yanks.

I agree and disagree with you saying the Yankees win so much because they buy all the best players. That is a major point why they have won 27 times, but its not the only reason. Watching the post games after the world series many people said what also helped was their good chemistry. Most people probably will say chemistry does not matter, but last year and the years the Yankees did not win they had the best talent and did not win. Even when CC was a free agent he brought up how the Yankees did not have good chemistry and would not sign if they didn’t. And look at the Redskins in football. They go out and get some big free agents and sign them to big contracts, but they have not been good for awhile.
ReplyDeleteThe Yankees do not win it every year and not 9 out of 10 times. This is the first time they have won it since I think 2001 or 2003. And yes they have won it 27 times, but baseball is over a hundred years old.
I agree that baseball should have a salary cap, but this would not help the worst teams become good or playoff teams. Look at all the other sports. Basketball and football have a cap and there are teams that always have losing season. For example the Clippers, Grizzlies, Bobcats, Thunder, Chiefs, Browns, Lions, Bengals, Texans, and Jaguars. These teams have either not made the playoffs for a long time or won a championship.
